New York City Bus Rentals for all Group Sizes

Traveling to the airport as a group doesn’t have to mean paying for way more seats than you need or cramming in next to each other and holding a suitcase on your lap the whole drive down the Belt Parkway from Staten Island when you work with National Charter Bus. Our New York State bus rentals range in size from a 15-passenger minibus for corporate groups all the way to a full-size 56-passenger charter bus for mission trip travel, ensuring that each and every group can find an appropriately sized vehicle. Customize Your New York City Charter Bus

A private charter bus in New York City will run on the timeline that you create, eliminating the need for constantly checking train schedules and stressing about delays or route closures on the way to John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) (Queens, NY 11430). Instead, you can sit back and relax in a plush, reclining seat and take advantage of amenities such as WiFi, power outlets, TVs with a DVD player, and an onboard restroom, all while your luggage is stowed safely in your vehicle’s storage area (amenities and storage capacity will vary depending on the exact bus rental in New York City you’re matched with). We can help you schedule anything from a one-way early-morning bus rental from Queens for your senior class trip, a long-term employee shuttle service for airlines to off-site parking lots in the evenings, or even a last minute emergency evacuation service in the event of natural disasters.

Simplified Pick Ups and Drop-Offs at Major Airports

Nervous about how you’ll find your New York City bus rental at busy airports? Don’t be! Your charter bus driver will be highly trained and experienced with navigating each airport’s unique charter bus restrictions, and will coordinate with you directly on where to meet. It never hurts to be prepared though, so we’ve put together some basic information on charter bus staging and loading/unloading at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), LaGuardia Airport (LGA) (East Elmhurst, NY 11371), and Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) (Newark International Airport St, Newark, NJ 07114).

John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK)

  1. Charter bus staging: There are two free parking lots your NYC charter bus can utilize for staging, the JFK Lefferts Boulevard AirTrain Station (closest to Terminals 1 and 4) and the free Cell Phone Lot (closest to Terminals 5, 7 and 8). For directions to either lot, your driver will simply search the name of the lot they’re going to in their GPS.
  2. Parking and staging are not allowed in front of or next to any terminals at JFK. Terminal curbsides are for active pick ups and drop-offs only.
  3. Charter bus pick up and drop-off: each terminal has a designated area for loading and unloading passengers, which is where your charter bus driver will meet you.
  4. You can also load and unload at JFK Lefferts Boulevard AirTrain Station, which is accessible from all terminals via an 8-minute ride on JFK’s free AirTrain.
  5. As stated above, terminal curbsides are for active pick ups and drop-offs only, so be sure your group is together with all their luggage and ready to board before calling your driver to come meet you at the terminal.

LaGuardia Airport (LGA)

  1. Charter bus staging: Charter buses at LGA can stage in the free Cell Phone Waiting Lot located on 94th Street between 23rd Ave. and Ditmars Blvd.
  2. Charter bus pick up and drop-off: Typically, loading and unloading at LGA happens curbside at the Arrivals Level and Departures Level, respectively, of your terminal. However–LGA is currently going through a major renovation, which means that pick up areas can change suddenly depending on construction needs. We recommend coordinating directly with your charter bus driver upon arrival–after gathering all of your passengers and luggage–to confirm where you’ll meet for pick up.
  3. While pick ups require more coordination during construction, drop-offs are still pretty straightforward. Let your driver know which terminal you’re departing from and they’ll provide curbside drop-off on the Departures Level of your terminal.

Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR)

  1. Charter bus staging: Charter buses at EWR can stage in the free Cell Phone Lot (GPS coordinates - Latitude: 40.695213; Longitude: -74.184601) located next to the P4 Parking garage.
  2. Charter bus pick up and drop-off: Charter buses can load and unload passengers curbside on the Arrivals Level and Departures Level, respectively, of your flight.
  3. While Terminal A has one level for arrivals and one for departures, Terminals B and C both have multiple areas for arrivals and departures, and which one you use will depend on your flight details. Make sure to let your charter bus driver know your flight plan when coordinating pick up and drop-off so they can make sure you get to the right location.

Airport Shuttles for Layovers

Even if you’re only in The Big Apple for a short while, make the most of it with a tour bus rental for layovers. Pick a top destination or two, like the American Museum of Natural History (200 Central Park West, New York, NY 10024) or the Empire State Building (20 W 34th St., New York, NY 10001), and get your camera ready while we take care of the rest. You’ll have a driver who’s experienced with NYC’s traffic patterns and knows how to build-in extra transit time in case of surprise congestion on Grand Central Parkway, so you can go explore and still make it back with plenty of time before your next flight.
