Designed for shorter trips and intercity use, the sleek Prevost X3-45 has low overall height but generous interior height for passengers. This makes it easy for drivers to maneuver and park the bus in major cities while also keeping passengers comfortable.

The X3-45 was recently redesigned to make it more aerodynamic, which has dramatically improved the bus’s fuel economy. The new design has 8-10% better fuel efficiency on highways.

Other improvements include:

  • Re-styled front and rear designs
  • New roof shape
  • Larger, more aerodynamic side windows for a 15% increase in visibility and a more spacious feel
  • Improved window release mechanisms
  • Tilted windshield and redesigned sunblind to increase visibility for drivers
  • More stainless steel components for a safer, more stable structure
  • Improved wheelchair lift and increased headroom in wheelchair seating area
The X3-45 also maintains existing positive features, like:
  • Long wheelbase for smooth, comfortable ride
  • Light and temperature controls and power outlets at each seat
  • Optional perimeter lighting to illuminate the sides of the vehicle
  • Optional front kneeling suspension to make boarding easier
  • Volvo D13 engine that meets EPA regulations and is efficient, lightweight, and powerful
  • Ergonomically friendly driver’s seat with controls on steering wheel
  • Optional e-mirrors, back-up and surround cameras to minimize blind spots
